The Athletic Band (MUBD 2601) is a one-credit class open to UVA and PVCC students. (If you have not marched in the CMB, please email the director about audition requirements.)  The Athletic Band electrifies the environment at the John Paul Jones Basketball Arena at all Men’s and Women’s home Basketball Games as well as multiple Olympic sporting events around Grounds. A portion of the band travels to the Atlantic Coast Conference basketball tournaments and the NCAA basketball tournaments. There are no prerequisite courses for participation in Athletic Band.  It is a course that requires enrollment in MUBD 2601 during the spring semester, but rehearsals and performance requirements begin in September.  For more information on this group, write director Andrew Koch.
